Hunter Leveling GuideHunter, Stat Builds

Before transcending to Sniper, a Hunter’s potential in pre-renewal is Double Strafing. You can easily dominate PvP using Double Strafe. Trappers are meant for PVP/WOE, and Blitz Beat for boss hunts and general farming. So what can a Sniper do apart from these, given that there are only few skills added into their skill tree? Let’s talk about the additional skills Snipers have over Hunters to identify the possible builds we can come up with.

First off, Snipers are known to be a powerful ranged characters specializing in fast killing enemies. They are the masters of the bow weapon and falconry. To boost them they gained the following skills:

  1. True Sight (Falcon Eyes) is a self-supportive skill that increases all stats by 5 regardless of skill level. It also increases ATK, Hit, and Crit for the skill’s duration. This is the skill where a Sniper’s damage gets boosted so it’s best to max this out.
  2. Falcon Assault is an offensive skill using a Sniper lifelong friend, the falcon. Since they master falconry, they can deal a single defense ignoring attack to a target based on casters Dex and Int. This can go along well with hybrid trapper builds that can Double Strafe and at the same time deal damage with traps.
  3. Sharp Shooting is another offensive skill that deals up to 350% damage to all targets in a 12×3 area. This skill can also crit, so it can also be an option for hybrid blitzer build.
  4. Wind Walk is a self/party-supportive skill that increases the entire party’s move speed and flee for the skills duration.

Given the additional skills of Snipers, what is the optimal build? We can have a lot of discussion of which build is the best but it will be a never ending one. So let us just divide the build to just three builds, the Strafer, Sharp Shooter, and the Blitzer.

I. STRAFER

PVP: 5/5; PVM:4/5; WoE: 2/5;
Recommended for: For those who want to use 1 skill only. Although you may also use ankle snare + arrow shower.
“Double strafe, double strafe…”

Suggested Stats: Agi 70-91, Vit 10-50, Int 0-16, Dex 90-99 ;
My Plan Stats: Agi 91, Vit 42, Int 15, Dex 97;
Pros: High DPS, Easy to Use;
Cons: Consumes a lot of SP, Fluffy;
Required Equipment: Ship Captain Hat, Nimble Glove, Orc Archer Bow + Steel Arrow, Bloodied Shackle Ball Set;

With Dex and Agi as their powerhouse, this becomes the most common, simplest, and easiest build there is. The goal of this build is to have high attack speed and at the same time high damage output. The rate of spamming the Double Strafe skill depends on the player’s attack speed, thus, the high agi. An attack speed of at least 183 is needed, not unless you can click faster than that!

Coupled with True Sight, the damage output of Snipers, whether auto attacking or strafing can be very high especially when the gears are built around increasing Dex and/or Attack. A total of 160 Dex, you become instantly a monster.

When dealing with melee enemies or enemies that casts strong skills, you can easily kite them with Ankle Snare. This technique must be mastered in order to minimize the damage taken.

Equips: Apple of archer, Binoculars, Gangster Scarf, Tights[1]/Pantie[1] (Porcellio), Boots[1] (Sohee/Matyr)/Shackles, Muffler[1]/Undershirt[1] (Dragontail/Raydric), Gloves[1]/Brooch[1] (Zerom)/Bloodied Shackle Ball, +10 Composite Bow[4] (2x Racial 2x Element Specific Card), +7 Gakkung[2] (2x Racial/Element Specific Card), OrcArcher’s/Burning/Earth/Frozen/Gust Bow with specific Arrow

II. SHARP SHOOTER

PVP: 2/5; PVM:4/5; WoE: 5/5;
Recommended for: WoE players.
“Sharpshooter Sniper Team, ASSEMBLE!”

Suggested Stats: Agi 30-60, Vit 50-80, Int 30-50, Dex 80-90 ;
My Plan Stats: Agi 60, Vit 77, Int 42, Dex 88;
Pros: Effective against mobbing;
Cons: Slow and Hard to level up;
Required Equipment: Ship Captain Hat, +10 Double Bloody Double Boned Composite Bow, Nimble Glove, Unfrozen Tights and Immune Muffler;

Since the Sharp Shooting skill deals damage to all targets in a 12×3 area, this build is best for Mobbing and Boss Hunting. You can pair up with a High Priest or a Tanker who can mob aggressive monsters and you can kill the with two to three Sharp Shooting. You can also spam this skill during PvP, GvG, and WOE when the opposing team are stacking. The cast delay of Sharp Shooting is fixed at 1.5 seconds, so instead of relying on Agi for flee, you instead rely on Vit for the added health points and hard Def. The secret to this build is having faster movement speed to avoid being hit when mobbing.

Suggested Equips: PecoPecoHeadBand, Binoculars, Gangster Scarf, Tights[1]/Pantie[1] (Porcellio), Boots[1] (Sohee/Matyr)/Shackles, Muffler[1]/Undershirt[1] (Dragontail/Raydric), Gloves[1]/Brooch[1] (Zerom)/Bloodied Shackle Ball, +10 Composite Bow[4] (2x Racial 2x Element Specific Card), +7 Gakkung[2] (2x Racial/Element Specific Card), OrcArcher’s/Burning/Earth/Frozen/Gust Bow with specific Arrow

III. Trapper

PVP: 5/5; MVP:5/5; WoE: 3/5;
Recommended for: For those who love learning combos / complex gameplay.
“Ankle Snare + Arrow Shower Combo, Claymore Stacking, Freeze + Blast Mine, etc…”

Suggested Stats: Agi 0-30, Vit 30-80, Int 50-99, Dex 70-99 ;
My Plan Stats: Vit 81, Int 67, Dex 93;
Pros: High Damage, Could 1 hit Enemies with Combos;
Cons: Difficult to use, Traps are costly;
Required Equipment: Nimble Glove / Earring, Cranial Guard, Pecopeco Hair Band;

With the previous build, you can also go for the hybrid trapper skill tree so you can plant traps and stack them during PvP, GvG, and WOE since you have a decent amount of Int and Dex for those traps to have damage. And instead of having stat points on Agi, you can invest on more Int instead. And since you have more Int, you can also spam skills like Arrow Shower. A proper switching of weapon and shield is also a must during PvP, GvG, and WOE so make sure to master when and where to switch.

Suggested Equips: PecoPecoHeadBand, Binoculars, Gangster Scarf, Tights[1]/Pantie[1] (Porcellio), Boots[1] (Sohee/Matyr)/Shackles, Muffler[1]/Undershirt[1] (Dragontail/Raydric), Gloves[1]/Brooch[1] (Zerom)/Bloodied Shackle Ball, +10 Composite Bow[4] (2x Racial 2x Element Specific Card/ 4x Status Inflicting Cards), +7 Gakkung[2] (2x Racial/Element Specific Card), OrcArcher’s/Burning/Earth/Frozen/Gust Bow with specific Arrow // +10 Main Gauche[4] (4x Drops/Fabre), +7 Guard[1] (Thara Frog)

IV. BLITZER

PVP: 3/5; PVM:4/5; WoE: 2/5;
Recommended for: For those who just want to “click it”.
“*Clicks Mouse*…*Dead Mob*…*Loot Item*…*Rinse and repeat*”

For detailed Blitzer Stat Guide, you may refer to Hunter Guides. It’s just similar.

There’s the conventional build with blitzers where you just click on a monster and wait for your falcon to kill it. Auto blitz proc at a chance based on Luk and the damage is based on Int and Dex. With more attack speed, the more chances for auto blitz. Basically you need more Agi and Luk to deal damage, the damage output wouldn’t be that great as compared with strafers and sharp shooters, but as I’ve said, it’s convenient especially for those who do not want to have their mouse or keyboard destroyed spamming skills.

During PvP, GvG, and WOE, blitzers are great disablers. With fast attack speed and status inflicting weapon, they sure can paralyze tanks and supports of the opposing team. Blitzers are also helpful during boss hunts because the damage they deal based on their auto blitz will not change regardless

Stats: Agi 90-99, Int 30-60, Dex 30-60, Luk 30-72

Equips: PecoPecoHeadBand/Ghost Bandana, Binoculars, Gangster Scarf, Pantie[1] (Ancient Mimic Card), Boots[1] (Male Thief Bug, Matyr), Undershirt[1] (Bapho Jr.), Brooch[1] (Kukre), +10 Composite Bow[4] (4x Female Thief Bug Card Card/Status Inflicting Cards)

There’s also the unorthodox build for blitzers. More of an auto attack build that can deal a ton of damage compared with the usual blitzer build. It’s more of reliance with the damage from auto attack rather than the falcon, but yeah, still a blitzer in my opinion since you’re not using skills to deal damage. It’s a gear oriented build that will rely on double attacks. Also, as mentioned above, this build can be used with Falcon Assault since you have high Dex for damage and a decent amount of Luk that can give the Falcon Assault a chance to crit. This build is my favorite since you just have to click on monsters when farming.

Stats: Agi 90-99, Int 30-40, Dex 70-80, Luk 30-50

Equips: Snake Head (Nigtmare), Binoculars, Gangster Scarf, Pantie[1] (Ancient Mimic Card), Boots[1] (Male Thief Bug, Matyr), Undershirt[1] (Bapho Jr.), Brooch[1] (Kukre), +10 Composite Bow[4] (4x Female Thief Bug Card Card/Status Inflicting Cards)

Pro Tip: Go for the Strafer build prior to transcending to level up faster.

Anyway, these stats and equipment builds are recommended for both pre-renewal and revo-classic servers. If you wish to try a pre-renewal server you may try our server myroclassic.com. It’s a 5x/5x/1x server, meaning it’s 5x faster to level-up compared to the original.
